CRST1123 : Sterile Processing I

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction into the field of sterile processing with insight and overview of the Central Service (CS) department and its technicians. Major subjects covered include Introduction to Sterile Processing Foundations, Anatomy, Microbiology, Point of Use, Decontamination, Disinfection, Surgical and Instruments, regulations and standards, the role of CS in ancillary departments, and success through communication. Related medical/surgical terminology is integrated throughout the course.
