PHAR1210 : Introduction to Pharmacy Practice

This course provides the student with an overview of the practice of pharmacy and typical duties of a pharmacy technician. Students learn about various organizations that provide healthcare services with particular emphasis on the provision of pharmaceutical care in each organization. The course content includes terminology and abbreviations, legal and ethical principles with application to pharmacy practice, technology in the pharmacy field, and patient record systems.
